NW Dowsers Oregon Territory Chapter

The Northwest Dowsers Society began in 1976 when Mike Doney gave a course on Dowsing at Clackamas College. As the end of the class was drawing near the students had liked it so much they asked if Mike was willing to host a regular group meeting where everyone could continue learning and practicing the wonderful new skills they were developing under his tutelage. He agreed and there have ongoing meetings ever since.

In 1992 Mike and the Members decided to become an official Chapter of the American Society of Dowsers Inc. (ASD Inc.) which is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in Vermont in 1961.

The ASD Inc. is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of Dowsing Knowledge including water witching, the discovery of lost articles and/or persons, and related UFO and para-psychological phenomena; the development of Dowsing Skills within its membership and in the community; and recognition of Dowsing Achievement around the world.

The ASD Inc. publishes a quarterly journal The American Dowser an assemblage of all manor of Dowsing theories, ideas, technology, techniques, applications, instrumentation and experiences for study and evaluation.

Mike Doney as Founder and Past-President of the OTCASD Inc. has studied Dowsing phenomena since 1951. He has presented numerous course offerings with The Portland Community College District and led workshops and lectures on a variety of Dowsing and Metaphysical topics throughout the United States, Canada, and England.

Using on-site and Map Dowsing techniques he is called upon professionally to Dowse for the placement of water wells, locate the source of electrical or mechanical problems, find lost items, transform environmental energies, and facilitate the removal of unwanted entities.

Tom Lauerman first learned to Dowse for water on a 360-acre cattle ranch in Arizona in the 1980s and has since given lectures and workshops on all types of Dowsing in the United States and Canada.

Utilizing on-site and Map Dowsing skills he offers professional services to locate water, find sources of problems and interference, and to clear and transform harmful energies for all types of business, agricultural, and residential applications.

Gary Damelin began the study of Metaphysics in 1973 and discovered Dowsing in the late 1980's.

His is currently learning the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and most enjoys Numerology, Psychic Counseling, Energy Healing and Dowsing the Winner in Horse Racing.
